One of my favorite thrillers of all time. Opened Pandora's box to serial killer type movies. Beautifully crafted and executed. I really didn't find this film "thrilling" at fact it bored me so much I ended up nodding off. br> This has always been one of these films that always gets good reviews and is always high up in "The top 100 scary moments. but up until a few weeks ago, I had never watched this film properly all the way now I know why.
I decided to give this film a chance seeing as so many people have such good things to say about quite frankly, I want my 2 hours back. I mean, I won't deny the fact that the acting is cause it cast is close to it's such a shame that the dull, anti-climax story lets them down.
Nothing happens. I can't understand how people are disturbed from this 's predictable and it is a complete let down.
I do have maybe one good thing to say about the film that is that the night vision scene towards the end is abit thats it. Other than that, I feel like i've been completely mis-lead.
Go ahead and watch it though, as my review is probably in the minority. I'll let you decide for yourself.

The film expressed a certain emphasis on the criminal matters now existing in our world. i have read the novel and i though it followed the plot seemingly well. i think anthony hopkins' performance was very sophisticated and i have not yet seen the sequel and i hope his performance was just as good in that.
